Alanton/Baycliff- This classic 1960’s Ranch Style neighborhood is where I have chosen to raise my family for several reasons. Alanton Elementary School and the neighborhood pool are the center of the neighborhood and make for an easy lifestyle. During the summer months you can hear the kids squealing with delight as they play in the pool on a hot summer day. During the school year, children run and play on the school grounds. The neighborhood was built on what used to be agriculture/farming land so it feels like you live in the country. But leaving the neighborhood, you are in the center of some of Virginia Beach's best shopping and dining in the very popular Great Neck Area and within 4 miles of the Bay and Oceanfront. Located on a large peninsula of land that sticks out into the Lynnhaven River, you will find beautiful waterfront properties with more affordable single family homes within the interior. Alanton and Baycliff are neighborhoods people don’t leave.
