Top 10 Family Friendly Neighborhoods in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach has some amazing neighborhoods for families.  At the turn of the 20th century Virginia Beach was the playground for Norfolk and Richmond's upper class families.  Then called Princess Anne County, it consisted of a beach resort area and rural farm land.  Since then, with the growth of the port and the military bases, the city has transformed into a planned suburban coastal city.  There is something for everyone here.  There are so many great communities that have family friendly amenities like community swimming pools and city playgrounds.  While some families enjoy the hustle and bustle of urban life, many enjoy things being a little bit more spread out.  To top it all off, Virginia Beach has one of the top ranked school systems in the country.  With 27 miles of coastline on the Atlantic and over 6 miles of coastline on the Chesapeake Bay, there is always a beach within a short drive from where you live.  Here is our list of the top 10 Virginia Beach neighborhoods.  If you have any questions about this list, let us know.  We are always here to lend a helping hand.
