Top Virginia Beach Golfing Communities
Virginia Beach has a number of nice golf courses both private and public. With our mild winters, most diehard golfers can play nearly year round with the exception being the coldest months of January and February.
There are some very nice communities that have been built around golf courses. Here are some of our favorites.
Broad Bay Country Club - Located in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach, this is a fun course with affordable membership dues. You will be close to the bay and the ocean in this neighborhood and the community also features a community pool.
Cavalier Country Club - Located near the ocean front off of Laskin Rd. This is one of the original country clubs in the area and the well established neighborhood of Birdneck Point surrounds the course with old trees and beautiful scenery. The country club also features a marina, pool and tennis facility.
Princess Anne Country Club - Located next to the historic Cavalier Hotel and Resort, this golf course was the original Oceanfront Golf Course. Openning in 1916, the Princess Anne Country Club was created by some successful Norfolk businessmen looking for a quite retreat from the hustle and bustle of Norfolk. Today, the course boasts a state of the are club facility as well as a renovated golf course that is sure to challenge your golf skills.
Herons Ridge - Located in the southern part of Virginia Beach, this neighborhood features a semi private golf course in the center of the neighborhood. The neighborhood features large spaceious homes, many of which are located directly on the golf course.
Bayville Country Club - Bayville is by far the nicest and most exclusive golf course in Virginia Beach. It strictly members only and many members would call it "a golfers golf course". With limited membership and maticulously maintained grounds and facilities, this is a world class course.
